Recent study results published in Frontiers in Nutrition show promising benefits for apple cider vinegar (ACV) and its potential role in helping to manage type 2 diabetes (T2DM).
The conclusion of the study: ACV had positive effects on FBS and HbA1c in T2DM patients.
Key Study Findings
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of apple cider vinegar on glycemic control in patients with T2DM. Highlights of the study were:
- Reduction in fasting blood sugar (FBS): ACV reduced FBS by an average of 21.93 mg/dL. This significant decrease indicates that ACV may help lower blood sugar levels when it’s taken regularly.
- HbA1c levels were reduced: HbA1c is a marker of long-term blood sugar control and during this study it reduced by 1.53% suggesting that ACV could support better glycemic control over time.
- Increased insulin levels: During the study ACV increased insulin levels by 2.06 μU/mL. The body’s ability to manage blood sugar is improved with higher insulin levels.
These findings suggest exciting benefits for consumers with T2DM who are looking for natural ways to support their condition.

Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies
Our Apple Cider Vinegar with The Mother Gummies are designed to support metabolism and promote healthy weight management.
These gummies are low in sugar, vegan-friendly and contain a natural colour and flavour.
Key health benefits include:
- ACV with the mother contains good bacteria that’s created during fermentation (this is filtered out in standard ACV). It may aid in the breaking down of food to help digestion.
- Chromium and Vitamin B6 may help tackle some of the behaviours (due to hormonal imbalance) and snacking (blood glucose levels) that contribute to excess weight.
